Coals

The coals sit cold and covered in ash in the furnace. Long has it been since any flames burned there. A spark ignites them through some unexpected event. The fire burns brighter and hotter than ever before. The warmth disperses through the air and heats the cold chamber the furnace sits within. The flickers of the flames light up the chamber and reveal red walls which always appeared black in the fire's absence.

The warm air rises up through the ducts and brings warmth to the attic. The cobweb ridden space fills with heat long forgotten. The heat defrosts equipment long frozen from the cold. Wheels return to life with renewed vigor now they are freed from their icy bonds.

The lights illuminate the previously unlit exterior. The neighbors stand in awe of a beauty never exposed to them before. Even those who have seen the house at its best are amazed by the glow emitted by the house. Its amazing features radiate outward and become apparent for all to see.
